Willow

Ten years ago I fell in love with the picture of a little girl on the DRNA website, and when I finally met her, she captured my heart forever. I was trying to figure out which picture of Willow to put on this web site -- Do I put the first "baby pictures" of her taken at the pet store, the picture of her in her bandana that I made for her which matched my daughter's soccer team uniform, the 4th of July picture with the red, white & blue bandana, the one of her in her Santa hat which became our Christmas card, the one of her curled up in a big pile of covers sleeping as we moved into our new house, the one of her with my daughter in my daughters Senior picture or my daughter's prom night, or one of the many I snapped with my cell phone while she rode in the front seat with me in the car?
Willow lived with a breeder the first part of her life. The second part of her life, with us, was very different. Just looking at all the pictures made me realize how much joy she brought to us for all those years. And to think my daughter was worried because we were adopting a "Senior"!
At 19 Willow passed away in my arms as I whispered in her ear how much I loved her. What an amazingly sweet and unique little girl she was. So the picture I decided on was the "original" picture of her. Isn't she precious ????
Love you and miss you, Willow!
