Dear DRNA, Bunny was adopted by me and my husband, Barry, in January 2007. She was turning 10 years old and had Cushing's Disease. Bunny's birthday was listed as 4/30/1997. Today, 4/30/2012, is the day of Bunny's death. She was exactly 15 years old. Although we only got to be with Bunny for a little over 5 years, she was our baby, destined to be our baby. We love her and we will always love her. She was the most gentle and loving dog we have ever known. For this, we are having her cremated and her plaque will read "Bunny, Gentle Perfection". She truly was a gift. A gift you gave to us. We thank you for this from the bottom of our hearts. God bless your work, your foster parents, your staff, all the parents who adopt the dachsies, and your donors. Senior dogs are so amazing. I hope others will open their homes to senior dogs with special needs. The gift will be theirs, this is a promise. We will always love you Honey Bun, Mommy, Daddy, Baylee Blu, and Phillip
