Biography
This poor little girl has been smacked around in her young life and is very head shy with strangers. She so much wants to be loved though and you can see this in her eyes and actions. When meeting a new person she runs, but if you sit on the floor or on the sofa she will slowly approach to be petted and be next to you. She will even quickly roll over to have her belly rubbed (which she loves) as long as you move slowly. And until she knows for sure you won't strike her is very skittish and tense. How anyone could have ever mistreated this sweet dachshund makes you want to scream. Tipper needs a quiet home with someone to patiently show her that she will never be struck again. Because of her nervousness she will not be placed in a home with children, even though she seems fine with them. Children just might not understand her issues and could get nipped by her if too rough. Tipper is housetrained and gets along with the other dachshunds in her foster home.

Tipper is a sweet little dachshund that has a second chance to give a special person the love she has and has wanted to give. With patience and love Tipper will make a wonderful companion, it is just going to take a special someone to teach her to trust people. But this is the type of rescue/adoption that is the most rewarding and heartwarming.
