Biography
Meet Dottie, named so because of her beautiful black & tan silver dapple coat. At her age she should be curled up in her loving owners lap, not getting a new name and in foster care with DRNA. This sweet girl was picked up as a stray in southeastern Virginia by Animal Control and never claimed. As you can see by her picture she has cataracts in both eyes, so it is very doubtful she would have strayed too far from home on her own. So it leads us to believe some heartless person decided they didn’t want her anymore and dumped her blind and alone, without food or water in a strange neighborhood. Can you imagine how frightening this must have been for her? Luckily, she was picked up by Animal Control before she starved to death, was hit by a car or some other dreadful thing happened to her.

Dottie is in dire need of a dental (it is being done tomorrow) and is already missing several teeth and will require a soft food diet.

Dottie deserved better in her live than being dumped by her former owners when she got older. She had given them years of love and companionship and when she needed them they abandoned her. Can you love, feed and protect her in exchange for her love and companionship for the rest of her life?
