Patch is a mildly vision-impaired double dapple puppy with smaller (micro) eyes than a normal dog. He was saved by a Good Samaritan from being destroyed by his breeder. He needs to have a playful young dog his size, age and energy level (or 2 or 3) in his adoptive home. He loves other dogs, playing with them, sleeping with them. He is very sweet, playful and highly energetic. He loves to sleep in the big bed at night. He needs a local, dachshund experienced, all adult, single family home with adopters who are home more than not, ample fenced yard (not invisible or electric), no shared walls, no older or large dogs or cats. Adopters need to have experience training and house training young dogs. *** This dog is being fostered in Maryland. All things considered, local adopters will be given preference. Applicants must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt this dog.***.
