Biography

Please join me in welcoming handsome 13 year old Copper back to DRNA in Maryland. His adopter became terminally ill and could not care for him so after five years he is back in his original foster home. He does have food allergies and requires prescription dog food and meds to keep the problem in check. He can't eat anything but his dog food, single ingredient treats (sweet potato chews, green beans, celery, carrots apple slices) and rice or he will have an allergic reaction. For the right person, he is a gem. Copper is the very best boy! Don't you just love his distinguished gray eyebrows and that face - what a face. He needs a doggie friend close to his size, a single-family fenced yard, and absolutely NO cats and NO crating - he HATES the crate. He does fine if given free run of the home. He doesn't feel confined if he has free run of one level like the first floor. He wants to sleep in the big bed. He would best if his adopter was home more than not. Also, no apartments, condos or townhouses for this boy. Needs breed savvy adopter. ****Applicants must be willing to travel to Ellicott City MD (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Copper.****
