Biography

Rose and Slinky are two silky wirehair dachshund puppies seeking their fabulous forever home where they can live and grow up together. They are very sweet, playful and highly energetic. Adopters should be willing to work on all the basics including house-training, general house manners and walking on a leash and understand that doxies are not pocket pooches but rather big dogs in a little package. Because they are young, they need an "at-home" adopter so they can grow up feeling secure. They are used to being kept in the kitchen in a pen with puppy pads. Seeking the same situation for them. They are not crate-trained. They will need a fenced in single family home yard. Absolutely no invisible or electric fences or doggie doors. Adopters must be willing to take them to puppy obedience class and provide daily walks and stimulation so they can continue to be properly socialized. Dachshund savvy homes only. No big dogs or small children or cats or senior dogs, please. ****Applicants must be willing to drive to Maryland to meet and adopt these puppies. Adoption fee per puppy is $350. ****
