| NO small children. NO cats. Needs a fenced yard, needs a buddy. He plays some but doesn't need another dog that plays all the time, but he really likes hanging out with another dog. Has been an only dog his entire life and has discovered playing!!! Loves, loves, loves, loves to go for a walk. LOVES TO GO FOR A WALK... Non walkers - please pick another dog.. this is not your man if you just use the backyard. He loves exploring the backyard, is prey driven, no cats, squirrels, bunnies would be safe near him. He will give chase; FAST, he's like a bullet. He completed heartworm treatment and he is a healthy boy, his weight is right about 18 lbs so he is built like a tank. We had to limit his physical activity but now he is raring to go. He plays with other dachshunds in the house but also can be found sitting as close as humanly possible next to his human on the sofa. He also loves sleeping in the big bed and loves his human. He is a great boy, loves to bye-bye in the car, he’s up for the next chapter in his life. Only recommend older respectful children. No young children recommended. His former home had young children and he does not tolerate grabby hands. His adoption fee is $275.
