| Hi!! My name is Satchmo, Satchy to my foster mom. I am a sweet and loving, smooth black and tan baby boy. I am 4 yrs old, neutered and microchipped (just in case I get lost). I love living with my foster family because they have other dogs for me to play with! I don’t even mind the big dog or the cat in the house!! There is a lot of activity here and I love it when my foster brother starts barking so I can join him!!! Not sure what he is barking at but I love it!!! I was a little overwhelmed, shy and timid when I first got here but in no time I fit right in. I have become quickly attached to my foster mom but, I do, share her lap with my brothers and sister at night when we are watching TV. I love to go outside to go potty and will jump up on your leg to let you know I need to go out. I do pee pee a little when someone come to the house… I get sooo excited!!! I did have a few accidents when I first got to my foster home but now that I know the schedule, it’s outside for me!!! My last mom and dad were sad they had to give me up. They were getting older and move to a home where I didn’t have a yard. I needed to be in a home that I could run and play. I don’t really like toys… except my Kong when I have peanut butter in it… but I do love to play with people and other dogs. My foster brother and I do “zoomies” around the living room chasing each other. I would definitely do well in a home with other dogs, especially if they liked to play but I could be an only dog if you would play with me and take me for walks. At night, I sleep in the big bed with my mom and dad (and a few of my brothers/sisters). I really don’t like the crate unless you give me a chewy, then I might stay in there for a little while. Mom and dad are teaching me how to use the doggie steps to get up and down from the bed. So far, I really don’t like them but mom says I need to use them so I don’t hurt my back…. Ok, ok, I will try. Mom says I am going to find a new forever family. I am so excited and can’t wait to meet them. She says to tell you I am up to date with all my shots and Heartworm negative. My foster mom is always telling me how handsome I am and that I have a very soft coat. It must be soft because she is always petting me!!! I am about 17 lbs. but working on losing a few.
