Biography

Rex is an amazing dog. He is a long-hair dachshund/pomeranian mix and his looks are stunning with his full coat and showy plume-like tail! He is a cuddle bug and loves a good belly rub! He is friendly, but somewhat timid until he gets tto know you. He is active and enjoys swimming in any body of water he has access to: pond, pool, etc. He loves chewing on his Nylabone which keeps him entertained. He is quite a goofball. He will perch on a couch arm, go to sleep and fall off! His foster mom says he is delightful and always makes her laugh with his comical ways. He will need a dog savvy adopter. He ended up at a local shelter because he received little training as a "child" and his leash and house manners need work. He is also very strong (and strong-willed) for his size and has learned how to get his own way so that will have to be managed. He would do best in an all-adult home with a high fence (he can jump) and another playful dog. ****Applicants must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Rex.****
