| Hello (she said in an engaging, friendly, open voice) my name is Penny and part of my claim to fame is that I evidently mothered quite a few of the now famous "Waynesboro hoarder" dogs. I was picked up by Animal Control as part of a 20 dog group, 11 of us dachshunds and mostly dachshunds, one Pekingese and the rest chihuahuas. And bless their hearts, the fabulous folks at DRNA took 8 of us and I am one of that lucky lucky group. Our former owner must have been really really sick because our living conditions were beyond filthy, our vetting needs had not been addressed in many years, some were overweight, some had tumors, some were sick, some had never been socialized and some had been bred to death. You would think that I would be totally exhausted by now but in fact I was incredibly lucky in more ways than one. I am not overweight particularly (well maybe a pound or two but nothing much), I have lots of energy for not being a young pup, I love EVERYONE, I would fit into any household perfectly regardless of who was in it...little kids, other dogs, you name it I am all over them. I am just the most easy going Miss Personality Miss Congeniality award winner of all time. I think I need a dental and maybe a spay (not sure!) before I go to my forever home but don't sweat the small stuff that will just be routine. I am also working on potty habits but that will come, no worries. Please come visit me in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and let me be a part of your happy forever home. I promise I will make it even happier. I am as easy going as they come and I just roll with the punches.
