| Meet Ollie! Ollie is fostered in Walworth County, Wisconsin. Ollie was surrendered by his owners who had a toddler; out with the old, in with the new! When Ollie first arrived in his foster home he was timid & scared, but that quickly changed! Ollie loves the other dachshunds in the home, has been to a "meet-up" with about 15 other dachsies and got along great, and doesn't mind big dogs either (he's met two Golden Retrievers in his extended foster family)! Ollie would be content to play all day with the dachshunds in his home or with his squeaky toys! He asks them to play by “pawing” at them, ears perked with a look of curiosity. Ollie enjoys his freedom in the fenced yard exploring. While Ollie is fine with both men & women, he warms up quicker to women. He loves to sit on your lap and give kisses! Ollie sleeps quietly in his crate at night and loves to jump in bed with you in the morning! Ollie has been doing good with his housetraining, being taken out on a schedule with the other dogs, he hasn’t had any accidents so far (fingers crossed) and doesn't seem to mind the damp weather after a rainfall either! He will bark when he wants to come back in but has been doing great learning the doggy door as well. He's your typical dachshund and barks when he feels the need. He gets very excited when he sees his leash and likes riding in the car! One bad habit Ollie does have...begging for food! He is quickly learning that it doesn't get him anything in this house! Ollie is a healthy, 11 yr old, 18lb male, very spry for his age! He’s neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. Ollie would really love a home with a doggy companion to play with and his ideal home would have a fenced yard though these are not requirements. He is, however, looking for a home without children under the age of 5. He's an 11 yr old, who's lived with a toddler and would like to live in peace!
