Click for larger image Dear sweet Tank waited for over 9 months for his forever home. But once in his home, it was found out that he had bladder stones, several large ones at that. This guy is one tough dude. His foster Mom never knew there was any problem. He was urinating fine, and of course Tank is 100% housetrained, so foster Mom never saw any pee with blood it in. Well Tank lives with his new Mom, Breanne near the beach, where there is sand, and she saw the blood in his urine on the sand!

Oh gosh, we all are heart sick over this for Tank. He never complained about this issue once. Well once examined by the vet, who said "Tank is the best behaved Dachshund" she ever saw. Hey, we know Tank is awesome!

But Tank now needs surgery to remove these stones, which there are also two in his urethra. Can you say "OUCH!" DRNA is going to cover the cost of this surgery, plus a few vet bills. It is the least we can do for poor Tank... and his awesome new Mom who loves him very much. And Tank really loves her.

All this will be quite costly. Would you be willing to help us help Tank and Breanne? We hope so. Thank you so much!

UPDATE June 6, 2010: We are happy to say that Tank had a successful surgery! They removed 5 large stones from Tank. The vets gave one to Tank's Mom as a souvenir. LOL, she is considering having a necklace made out of it!

I talked to Breanne last night, and she said Tank was urinating fine, and she could tell he was feeling much better because he brought his toys to her for playtime!

July 23, 2010: Tank has recovered nicely from his bladder stone surgery. He is back to playing with toys and taking long walks on the beach. We are so thankful for everyone's generosity.

Please help Tank! All donations go directly to his medical care.
