DRNA was contacted by a vet practice that a Good Samaritan had brought in a
young dog he has witnessed being thrown from a moving car and subsequently
hit by a truck!! Both back legs were broken and one of his hips. "Could your
group take him? Otherwise, he will be euthanized."
With excellent team work DRNA brought "Matthew" to a surgical
veterinary clinic. Indeed both femurs were broken, left tibia, the right
hip and the left hip where the hip bone attaches to the spinal column!
He would need the femurs and tibia pinned and the left hip would need 2 screws
placed. The vet believes with crate rest that the right hip will bend
on its own. If not, he will need another surgery on the right hip.
Please send Matthew your support and knowledge that good people do
outweigh the bad people in this world. His surgery is estimated to cost
between $5000 and $6500. Help us renew his belief that humans do bring good
things. Please make a donation to DRNA to help cover his surgeries.
Won't you help us to keep getting Matthew the help he needs? Any amount helps - even $5!
