| Oscar is a 7 year old neutered male. He is house trained, crate trained and is now on a potty schedule. He does get along with other dogs, although prefers that they are larger than him, as he will try to dominate dogs that are his size or smaller. This is something the foster home is working on and making progress. He's not a huge fan of cats, but is making progress in this area as well, and could coexist in a home with dog savvy cats under supervision. Oscar does have a high pray drive. He thinks it is his job to chase after the goats and chickens and will need to be leashed when around animals like this. Snuggling and giving kisses are two of his favorite things. Wherever you are, he wants to be there too and is very content to lay on a dog bed and chew on a squeaky as long as he's with you. Don't let his age fool you, he is a firecracker with energy for days! His previous owner did have two young children that he adored so we know he does do well with kids. He is recovering from a back injury that caused rear paralysis, but is walking now. Due to this, he will need a home with a patient owner who is willing and able to lift him up and down off the furniture and use extreme caution on stairs. He can get around fine, but any jumping will need to be discouraged to prevent a re-occurrence of the injury.
