| Ruby came to us from North Carolina. Her daddy had surgery and her mom’s employer closed it’s doors. They knew they needed help for Ruby and surrendered her to our rescue. Ruby is a sweet girl and immediately warms up to you. She loves to cuddle on the couch or in a nice comfy dog bed under a blanket. She likes other dogs but needs a little time to find her place in your home before she feels really comfortable with other dogs. Once she feels accepted she is fine. I usually find her curled up with another dog in a small dog bed. Several times I have found her sound asleep in the bedroom when everyone else was in the living room. She doesn’t mind being in a crate for a short period of time or for meals. She LOVES to eat! Ruby spends a lot of time outside laying in the sun. I took her for a ride in a stroller the other day and she was so good. She sat up and watched the world go by. She doesn’t mind riding in the car as long as she can see you or have you pet her. Of course she loves to snack so if we go to the vet we always stop for fries on the way home. Ruby has her very own blanket that she brought from her former home and she has a brand new Hug-a-dog harness. She also has a brand new Eddie's Wheels cart that she is doing great in. She likes to play with stuffed animals and has quite a collection! Ruby has had 6 laser therapy treatments, 6 weeks cage rest and 11 water treadmill sessions. She does try to stand on occasion but does not walk far on her own. That doesn’t keep her down! She’s right out there running and playing with the rest of them.
