My name is P.J. ("Peej" for short) and I’m a survivor. Once I lived in Tennessee with a family that I thought would love me forever until I hurt my back. They took me straight to a shelter and left me. No one wanted to help me except for one nice person at the shelter who thought I was pretty special. I don’t know all the details but a nice bunch of people from DRNA provided for my back surgery. I think I surprised everyone because I lost 10 pounds and learned to walk again!! Sometimes I’m little clumsy but it’s sure better than scooting around on the floor. I need to go out on a regular schedule or I will have accidents. I do better in a home with no stairs. Part of my charm is the way I walk - just a little wobbly. I love attention and being in charge. I'm told I'm full of personality. I'm a favorite with the staff at my vet's office. I’ve never met a stranger but I need a home with no other dogs or cats. I'm OK with other dogs when I'm going for walks but not so good if I have to share my home with them. I think everything is mine: food, toys, beds, etc. That can lead to disagreements. That's actually why I'm looking for a home again - I don't get along with the home dogs. I love sun-bathing and and playing ball. I can run like the wind when you play ball with me!! I need a fenced yard. I get nervous and restless on car rides. No children, please. They make ne nervous, too. I'm a bit of a clown and love to snuggle with you. Could you give me a chance to show you that I can be a good dog? ****Applicant must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt P.J.**** |
