| Annie (on the right)and Lilly (on the left) are two young adorable doxie puppies who came into rescue after their owners died leaving more than 20 dogs behind. They were born on or about January 18 of this year. Toffee #10076 is their mother and as you can tell, she is a lovely doxie and also has a sweet loving disposition. They are fun-loving energetic pups. I would prefer to place Annie and Lilly into the same home but will consider splitting them up only if there is a young playful small dog in the adoptive home. They need adopters willing to work on all the basics including housetraining, general house manners and walking on a leash. They are very sweet, playful and highly energetic. Because they are so young, they need an "at-home" adopter so they can grow up feeling secure. These puppies cannot be left for long hours. They will need a fenced in yard because we all know doxies are hounds who love to investigate, dig holes and chase bunnies, birds, squirrels, mice and Mr. Groundhog if he is around! They can only be placed with true doxie lovers who understand that doxies are not pocket pooches but rather big dogs in a little package! Absolutely no invisible or electric fences. They also need someone who is willing to take them to puppy obedience class and provide daily walks and stimulation so they can continue to be properly socialized. No small children or large dogs, please. They could easily be hurt because they are so small. ****Applicant must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Annie and Lilly. Their adoption fee is $350 each.**** |
