DOB: 08/28/08, Darling Cappy was surrendered to DRNA when his family felt they could no longer care for him because of the new baby. Cappy was devestated at first and mourned the loss of the only family he ever knew. But with in a few days, he decided foster Momma was a pretty good substitute. He even enjoyed his ride to the vets, and of course the ice cream that came afterwards. Cappy does have a history of light seizures which he has had since puppyhood, but with his low dose of medication twice daily, they are no problem. And he hasn't had even a one since coming to his foster home. And believe me, that is stressful coming here to Fort Dox, where many Dachshunds roam. Cappy can do several commands, like sit, laydown, speak and sit up, and he is housebroken. He can be a little clingy with you at first, but with time, he settles in. Cappy is great with other dogs and children. This boy is an all around delight and would be a wonderful addition to most homes. Cappy is located in SW PA, about 65 miles SE of Pittsburgh, PA. |
