Biography
You’re looking into the eyes of a survivor. I may have a few premature gray hairs, but I’ve been waiting seven years for a family to love. My life has been a revolving door as a breeder dog. I received very little care or love because I was consistently producing beautiful puppies. But when I became heartworm positive, I was dropped at a shelter. A kind soul brought me home from the shelter and contacted DRNA. In April, I relocated from North Carolina to Maryland to begin treatment for heartworms. My foster mom says once I go through the treatment to kill the heartworms,I'll be healthy again and she’ll find me a forever home. She says that somewhere, there is a family just waiting to meet me and love me. I can’t wait to meet them! For now, I’m focused on my treatment. Will you come back to visit my webpage? I’ll update it with news of my progress.

6-17-12 Update:
I just completed my second heartworm treatment on June 1. My foster mom says you’d hardly know that I’m going through the heartworm treatment because I still have my rosy disposition. During my treatment, I spend a lot of time in my crate. I don’t mind because it's cozy and I feel comfortable and safe. On July 1, I will undergo the last installment of the treatment for heartworms. Also, it will be the first time in many months that I will be re-tested for active heartworms. I have my “paws crossed” that the test will show that the heartworms have been eliminated. I feel great. (And, from my picture, you can see I look great too!) I am a very happy and social little girl who loves everyone and all of the dogs I have met so far. I’ve been living with two labs and two dachshunds (and two teenagers). I have excellent house manners and walk “like a lady” on a leash. I know that there is a family just waiting to meet me and love me. Is it you? I’ll be ready to go with my new family in August/September. Will you come back to my webpage and check my progress?
