| Fifi and Maurice are 100% pure puppy. Goofy, playful, sleepy, boisterous, pooping, eating, floppy, curious, romping, mischievious, loveable PUPPY. They have largely been confined to the whelping pen with their wonderful mother Chloe, so they have not embarked on any house training, beyond being pretty good about using the peepads. One thing about these little babies is that they are really great at being held - very docile and patient. They are great eaters and gentle treat takers, too. They are crate trained and gate trained, and they sleep soundly through the night. They will require all the care and training that puppies need to become good dogs. This includes house training, basic obedience, and continued socialization with strangers and other animals. New owners will want to make sure they are in possession of a large supply of patience and a solid sense of humor. These are beautiful puppies, and they are going to make a fabulous addition to the right homes. Note: Chloe 9432 is their mother. She and the puppies were found abandoned in a trailer starving in WV. Three of the five puppies were dead when found. Fifi and Maurice were alive hiding under the flooring. All were dehydrated. The wonderful shelter person took them to her house and they stayed with her after being treated by a vet with fluids and vaccinations. Their mother is purebred but it is not known who was the father. At first they looked very much like purebred dachshunds at 6 week. Now at 12 weeks, they are clearly dachshund mixes. Maurice and Fifi can be adopted separately and they will not be ready for adoption until the first week in September. To view a video of Fifi at 6 weeks old, go to these links. She is the red puppy: |
