| Buddy is a typical young male smooth doxie boy.....lots of energy and enthusiasm for everything! He likes to be with people and enjoys playing fetch with his toys. He is ok with cats, although he plays a little rough for most of them. He is learning to be more respectful though. Wants to be alpha with dogs, but has done ok with supervision so far. He gets growly when hs is scared and needs a doxie-experienced family to help him work through this fear reaction. He seems to do best when he is clear that his person is the alpha. Folks who are not willing or able to be firm yet kind with him are not a good match for this fellow. He has been ok supervised around older children who understand how to interact with dogs. He will also need to be supervised when meeting new people, in case he becomes afraid. He has had no accidents in the house, does well in a wire crate, and knows how to sit and walk fairly well on a leash. He must be placed within 150 miles of Dover DE. |
