Hey y’all. I’m Frankie and just made my way up to Maryland from a shelter in Georgia. I was a day away from being euthanized when the nice folks at DRNA rescued me. I’m a 5-year old beautiful red smooth standard dachshund with a soft cashmere coat and a sprinkling of white whiskers around my muzzle and under my chin. I’m a jewel. At least that’s what my foster mom says. I tested heartworm positive in November, but have been through the treatment. Within the next month, I’ll be tested again – I’m sure I’m be “cured.” I was also just neutered. Yikes! My foster mom says I’m a gentle little lamb. She says I gently nibble a treat from her fingers. (Of course! That’s what you’d expect from a southern gentleman!) I love to play with my stuff animals. When someone walks into the room, I run for my toy and shake it around. They’ve figured out that I’m ready to play. They chase me. I chase them. You get the idea. I’m a lap dog too…love to cuddle. Life is wonderful -- so much better than my scary life in the shelter. The only thing that could make it better is to have a family of my own. Do you have room in your heart for a sweet boy? |
