| Look deep into his soulful eyes... Cass is a sweet fellow. He is crate-trained and house broken. He prefers company, equally comfortable lounging in his day bed or snuggling next to you on the couch. He loves the snow and is fine with all weather except pelting rain. He walks well on a lead, strong and peppy. Cass is startled by loud noises and may try to run. He may also seem fearful when seeing strange people and dogs for the first time, but he has never shown aggression. A house with a fenced in yard is recommended, as Cass has energy and spunk! Like many doxies, Cass bonded closely to one primary person, his foster mom. However, he genially got along with other family members for treats, affection and socialization. Cass played well with his foster brother, another dachshund, and does fine with cats. Cass would do best in a structured home with a set schedule. He really needs a dog buddy to show him the ropes. He will need a patient adopter willing to let him learn to trust. He bonds more quickly to women so the man of the house will have to be especially patient. Cass' adoption fee is $275. Must be willing to drive to Annapolis, MD to meet/adopt Cass. |
