Biography
Meet Nina, a petite sweet girl who was dealt a very bad hand in life but still has a perky attitude. She was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter where they discovered she had a microchip.. The staff there were able to contact her two previous owners but neither wanted her. Of course they didn't because they had neglected her to the point that she has very little hair, eye infections, ear infections, skin infections, nails that curled into her pads and is badly in need of a dental. But the worst part is that she has to have a radical mastectomy on both sides because she has mammary tumors. Just looking at her will make even the strongest rescuer cry. We are going to do the best we can for this little gem. She appears to be housetrained, likes leash-walking, is good with other dogs and crate-trained. She has a ways to go before she can be adopted because she has three surgeries scheduled and we have to get all her infections under control. Her blood work was good and her heart is good so she has some plusses on her side! Please consider adding this wonderful girl to your family. ****Applicants must be willing to travel to Ellicott City MD (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Nina and be close enough that I can do a home visit.****
