George was found as a stray in MD and taken to the shelter. He was very thin but in good spirits so the shelter staff really fell in love with him. Unfortunately, no one came looking for George so the shelter called DRNA. George is a wobbly walker, apparently from an old back injury. He gets around great, is not is any pain and is a happy and adventurous boy. George loves sitting in the sun, inside or out. Loves to burrow under blankets for naps and enjoys being a lap dog. He is a typical doxie with a big personality in a small package. He is so sweet, not a mean bone in his body. I dont know if I have ever seen a dog melt into you like he does when you give him rubs, he LOVES rubs! Enjoys playing with toys and wants to play with other dogs, big and small. He would be fine as only dog or with other dogs. He has no fear at all of ANYTHING, it’s actually really amusing. He doesn’t realize his limitations, is adventurous and ornery, it may be how he came to hurt himself. As a result of his back issue, he only knows he is going #2 as it is happening. He does try to make it outside but sometimes there just isn’t time. He has most of his urine control, he goes outside but doesn’t really have the capacity to turn off his valve before walking so he leaves a trail. I know George is a little extra work because of his old injury but I have to say, he is totally worth it. This boy is a total love bug and his personality will win you over in 30 seconds. He is the perfect dog to take with you everywhere you go. I just adore him and I know you will too! His adoption fee is $150 but waived for senior adopters. Must be willing to drive to the Baltimore area to meet/adopt George.
