Bear is a delightful sweet senior dachshund. He has no teeth left after his recent dental and his tongue sometimes hangs out but that doesn't detract from his handsome looks. He has a dark chocolate almost sable coat. He is very affectionate. Bear is vision-impaired but really gets around well. He was given up with his BFF, Bella, because their owner was unable to care for them. Both dogs love to sleep all snuggled together and love soft blankets. He cocks his head in the cutest way when he is trying to figure out what's going on or to figure out where you are if he hears your voice. He is a tad stout so could you use a diet and exercise plan. He's been with me for a week and I can't tell you any negative things about him. He's an easy-going old man who gets along with everyone. He does need help eating because his tongue is hard to control. He does a pretty good job but may need a hand cleaning up his bowl. ***Applicants must be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Bear and Bella.**** |
