Poor Daphne is one sad luck story. This sweet girl was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. She was probably dumped or turned out by a heartless owner who never came to get her. The shelter thought she had a urinary tract infection but an x-ray at our vet revealed she really has lots of bladder stones the size of really big marbles and will need surgery. She also has alopecia (bad hair so to speak) but blood work showed no abnormalities. Her dilute coloration, Isabella, is probably the cause of that. Her mouth is just horrific. After a dental with many extractions, spay and bladder stone surgery, Daphne will be ready for her forever home. I mean REALLY ready. I think she is so tired of living with the pain of the bladder stones. We are doing our best to restore her health. She will be on prescription dog food.for the rest of her life to keep her free from bladder stones. This lovely lady really needs a home to call her own and feel warm and cared for. ***Applicant should be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Daphne.****
