Bella, along with two other dogs from her home, was given up due to her owner's terminal illness. This is a very sad thing all the way around. Sad for the dogs to have to leave the only home they know and sad for their owner who loves them so much. Bella is a spayed female both house-trained and crate-trained. She loves to snuggle and sleep with you but she will crate and not cry. Bella is very sweet, energetic, playful, and loving. In typical doxie fashion, she does have a mind of her own and listens when she feels like it...which is usually when she thinks food is involved. She runs the yard with a group of dogs playing chase and wrestling with the best of them. She is not a big barker in the yard, unless a big dog walks by the fence that catches her eye (which she will stop when you tell her to). She was a bit timid at first arrival, understandable with all the changes, but quickly learned the routine and warmed up to her new situation/environment quickly. She's best fit for someone that is active, as this young lady in no couch potato. While she'll enjoy some relaxing lap time, she's a "let's go exploring and have fun" type of gal. Bella does have a long scar down the side of her muzzle from a snake (copperhead) bite. ****Applicant should be willing to drive to Ellicott City, Maryland (10 miles south of Baltimore) to meet and adopt Bella.**** |
