*** RECALL NOTICE ***
Some of the treat bags at MWDF contained Pedigree Small Crunchy Bites. These have been recalled by Pedigree. Please refer to the Pedigree website for complete details.

We are now located in the Danville High School Fieldhouse at the corner of Jackson and Fairchild in Danville, IL. The 12th Annual Midwest Dachshund Festival is sponsored this year by Dachshund Rescue of North America.

Heading North on Vermillion (from most of the hotels) you would take a right on Fairchild St., right on Hazel, left on Clay (do not go across the RR tracks) and then turn right to see the Field House.

Dachshunds on Parade:
  • Seniors 10 years and up
  • Cart dogs, Wobbly dogs, Recovered back dogs (IVDD)
  • Veterans of Dachsiefest
  • Rescued Dachshunds
  • Costume Contest

We do not advise bringing young puppies to these events.

Contests:
  • Traveled farthest
  • Oldest Dachshund
  • Largest group of Dachshunds traveling to the festival
  • Best costumes categories subject to entries likely to include: original, scary, group, best disguised, dog/owner coordination - every year is a surprise!
  • Games – practice those new tricks!
  • Weiner races maybe... including cart division
