January 2008

Frankie, Alexandria, Virginia
Adopted January 2006
Frankie loves to take his daily walks around the neighborhood and enjoys socializing with the other dogs. Every night he gets a rawhide bone, which he just adores. Frankie loves to sleep with his human at night and bury himself under the covers. Per his Mommy, “He is a special dog and I wouldn’t trade him in for the world.”

Bo, Kingston, Pennsylvania
Adopted January 2007
Bo was found as a stray and turned into a shelter. He was trembling with fear, infested with fleas, most of his hair was missing and appeared to be blind. Bo was rescued by DRNA and given a second chance at life. Bo was adopted as a sanctuary dog and is now living the good life. Thanks to all the wonderful adopters that took a chance on a dog that may not be “perfect.”

Missy, Rock Hill, South Carolina
Adopted January 26, 2007
Missy was surrendered by her owner because she had lost her job and had no money to care for her. She was adopted by the young couple who fostered her for DRNA, and is the reason they continue to help by fostering our dogs. Missy welcomes any and all into her forever home!!

Toby FKA Skylar, Indianapolis, Indiana
Adopted January 2007
This young handsome boy was a breeder retiree who was scared of everything in the world. If you changed clothes, you were a new person to bark at. Read what his devoted person has to say about him now. “Adopting Toby is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Just had to drop you a quick note about Toby’s amazing progress! I can not even explain the transformation this dog has gone through. He is doing wonderful! He used to be so scared of everyone but me, now he just loves everyone. He has a great bond with Jon my fiance now, he curls up and sleeps with him on the couch. I took Toby to a birthday party recently where there were around 30 people most of which he had never met, he loved everyone, I do not think anyone believes me when I tell them how he acted when I first brought him home. I also recently began taking them to a dog park, he is in ultimate heaven. He loves to run and play with all the big dogs, and he does not seem to meet a stranger.” (toby is the red dog. dollie is his sister. )

Aggie, Greenville, South Carolina
Adopted January 2, 2007
by the end of Aggie’s first day she was in my daughter’s her heart. She has been the best little doxie; patient with all my children, lazy but up for a walk and an early morning run through the house. She loves to go for car rides and just be with us. We all just adore our sweet doxie, Aggie!
