Biography
Hi! I’m Maggie! I am a feisty older lady looking for some love and good eats. I’m diabetic and blind, but don’t let that discourage you! My diabetes is extremely easy to manage (inexpensive insulin twice a day), and I can navigate so well you’ll forget that I’m blind! My story is a sad one, but we won’t dwell on that. To summarize, my mom died after a battle with cancer, and I ended up in a kill shelter with my diabetes poorly managed. They sent to me to the ER overnight, some DRNA angels busted me out, and it’s all been comfy beds in the sun since then! I have even been known to leap across the back seat of a car to grab snacks from an unsuspecting small person, haha!! I sometimes get a little barky when I’m left alone or when I want a snack. Foster mom thought I might have a touch of dementia, but she has noticed that my barking always happens in the kitchen, so she thinks it might have more to do with me wanting a snack! I am very good about going to the bathroom outside, but if I’m allowed to wander without being on a regular schedule I will pee inside. I’m an old diabetic lady--it happens!!! What else? I ride well in the car, I get along with all dogs, and I like all people. I’m basically perfect, and I know it!! Would you like to be my minion, er, I mean, my person? If you’ve got some good snacks and a bed in the sun, I’m willing to consider hiring you, er, I mean, you can adopt me. Kisses!! Mags
