Theo is a 5 year old red dapple in a cart. He was brought to me by his mom who could no longer give him the care required due to her being in an accident. It’s unknown how he hurt his back but he’s adjusting just fine. He loves going for walks in his cart and just being outside. Every time I turn around I find that he has scooted down the ramp and is sitting in the back yard watching for squirrels. When Theo was brought into rescue he had a terrible skin condition. His mom thought it was from him scooting all the time. We went to the vet for a check up and found that he has allergies. His belly, armpits and groin have red swollen skin. It doesn’t help that he was scooting and rubbing his little red belly all over the floors and the grass. He got a shot (and was very good about it). He does have skin reactions to wearing belly bands for his incontinence so he will normally be seen scooting around in his “drag bag” when he’s not in his cart. He sleeps NAKED at night to get some air on his skin. He’s doing better AND he appears to have lost some weight. He gets his bladder and bowels expressed and after dropping a few inches he is much easier to care for! Theo is eating a grain free diet and getting a couple of healthy treats every day. He loves to sit on your lap and nap in the evening. He has always been an only child until now and he appear to be adjusting well. He can take them or leave them :)) Theo has lost all of the extra weight he was carrying around and looks very handsome and svelte. He loves to exercise. When we go for walks he’s in his own little world. Theo is being fostered in NE Ohio and has agreed to accept applications. He wants you to know he insists on a lap and lots of love. He has a brand new cool looking drag bag and he also travels with his own cart, bed, afghan and several toys. He’s ready for you. Are you ready for this sweet little man???
