| My name is Schnitzel and I have a very special holiday greeting for each of you. First I want to thank all those wonderful adopters who inquired or even applied to adopt me. Secondly, I want to say I am sorry if we unintentionally gave some of you false hopes. We thought I would be pretty popular but were totally unprepared for the huge outpouring of love and interest from you. We apparently got a gazillion applications whatever that number means. But meanwhile, a very very sweet couple whose son lives near me and my foster parents just fell desperately in love with me, and since my foster parents knew the family really well they were able to persuade my OTHER mom (the DRNA rep ultimately responsible for me) that I should go live happily ever after with them. That will not happen until after the first of the year just like we told you (NO CHRISTMAS PRESENT ADOPTIONS!) but we decided rather than to pretend nothing had changed until after the first of the year we would go ahead and level with you about my future. Be happy for me if you can and please trust DRNA to help you find another dachshund as wonderful as me. Woof and I love every single one of you! |
