Biography
Meet me: Dodger. I tried to dodge the car that hit me. I skidded across the pavement into the ditch. My right foreleg had a dislocated joint, but it is all better now. My guardian angel found me in the ditch and took me to the vet and then home. She kept me til my leg was all better, then called DRNA. I have been to the vet a lot. I had a Heartworm test (negative), got up to date on all my vaccines, and have now been neutered (or was that tutored?) My foster mom says I am a real sweetheart of a guy. She and her vet think I am 18 months but not yet 2 years. My teeth are pearly white. I have a "rough coat" typical of wire haired dachshunds AND some terriers. They keep saying I am a dachshund/border terrier mix. Wish I could tell them who my folks were. At any rate, I am crate trained, have good house manners and do well with other dogs. I passed the people test at an adoption fair and in a foster home, but I am really shy and afraid around men until I get to know them (a little bit at a time)! I have lots of admirers of all ages. Lots of them took pictures. I hope someone will give me a furever home soon.

My adoption fee will be $275, but I am worth it. And also know that if you are in another state and a health certificate is required for transport, the adopter is responsible for that minimal cost.
